SOROTI — The Police on Monday arrested a traditional healer for allegedly killing her child. The LC3 defence secretary, Robert Odinga, said Hasfa Namakola’s child, whose body was exhumed, is suspected to have been starved to death.

UN decries
KAPCHORWA — The United Nations recently condemned cattle rustlers from West Pokot in Kenya over atrocities committed in Suam sub-county. The Pokot killed more than 30 people in the area, including women and children.

‘Aid them’
JINJA — Headteachers in the district recently requested the education ministry to help their colleagues who were interdicted over examination malpractices in the 2001 PLE. Chairman of the Primary Headteachers’ Association James Mwase said the teachers should serve other forms of punishment and resume work.
