THE Law Council Disciplinary Committee has given Dr. John Barya 14 days within which to file statements of evidence from his clients in a sh500m case against a former Uganda Law Society president, reports Hillary Kiirya.
Barya represents 6,339 retrenched Public Service employees under the East African Community who were awarded over sh7b by court.
John Matovu and Joseph Kimanje, his partner, are charged with failure to remit sh500m in costs to their clients.
The committee including Andrew Kasirye, Agaba Maguru, Cheborion Barishaki and John Mugisha on Friday ruled that Barya hands in the summary of his evidence within 14 days.
