KABALE – Kihanga gravity water scheme worth sh30m in Rukiga was commissioned recently. The Bishop of Kigezi diocese, George Katwesigye, said the 28th project was constructed by the diocese and co-funded by the locals and several donors.

BAT gives
MASINDI – BAT has committed sh100m towards planting 500,000 trees in the district. District boss John Majara while opening an environment workshop at Kolping House recently, said the company pledged to support tree-planting projects as a measure for sustainable environment.

Schools lack
KABALE – Secondary schools in the district have introduced new classrooms to cater for the increased enrolment in senior one. The director of Kabale Trinity College, Joab Tumwebarize recently said he has 330 students in senior one compared to 120 in 2002. Ends
