SIR— It’s nearly coming to 18 years since the NRM Government took power. While most people rejoice in its achievements, the deaf have nothing tangible to show off or be proud of apart from rpresentation in local councils and Parliament.
SIR— It’s nearly coming to 18 years since the NRM Government took power. While most people rejoice in its achievements, the deaf have nothing tangible to show off or be proud of apart from rpresentation in local councils and Parliament. Their education is still a privilege, not a right, despite the great steps in the field. UPE is of no use to the deaf since only few deaf schools are given little grants. There is no secondary school for deaf.
