NABISUNSA Girls School’s Amina Lukaaya led her team to a clean sweep of most of the female table-tennis honours at Lugogo over the weekend.
The senior three student started by lifting the girls’ singles trophy after beating schoolmate Linda Nalubanga 3-1 in the National Schools Table Tennis championship.
She then combined with Nalubanga to lift the doubles trophy when they beat Shabira Mugerwa and Mariam Nandi (also from Nabisunsa) 2-1 before capping it with a victory in the team event.
She captained Nabisunsa A team to victory over their junior side Nabisunsa B in three straight sets.
“They are still young girls with the potential of dominating the game,” said table tennis two time former Olympian Mary Musoke, who coaches the team.
