USAID boosts shea industry

UNITED States Agency for International Development has donated a shea nut-grinding machine worth sh8,648,000 to boost oil production in Lira district.

UNITED States Agency for International Development has donated a shea nut-grinding machine worth sh8,648,000 to boost oil production in Lira district.

This was recently announced by shea nut project coordinator, Moses Ocen, while handing over the machine to women farmers based in Otuke county.
in a ceremony held at Adyel division, Lira town.

He said the shea nut grinder is aimed at increasing accessibility as well as affordability of the technology to the under privileged rural farmers in Otuke county, adding that the machine will save time for shea nut productivity and other economic activities in Otuke county.
