CHILDREN from Apac district have condemned the atrocities inflicted on them by the Lord’s Resistance Army rebels led by Joseph Kony.
In a speech presented by one of them during celebrations of the African Child Day in Apac Boma Grounds recently, the children called upon the Government to end the long suffering.
“We are tired of torture, murder, abduction and all forms of human suffering by these rebels,†said Morish Oguti of Apac Model Primary School.
The theme for this year celebration was, ‘Registration at Birth, a child right to a name, parentage, nationality and a better future’.
Apac deputy resident district commissioner Charles Omara Akello appealed to parents to register their children at birth.
