KIGALI Volleyball Club will spearhead a four-team Rwandan charge at the KAVC international volleyball tournament this weekend.
The leading Rwandan club will send a men and women’s team for the Kampala Amateur Volleyball Club (KAVC) meet that has attracted 11 clubs from Kenya, Rwanda and Burundi.
Other teams expected from Kigali are army side APR, Blue Tiger men and Les Colombe women.
The seventh edition of the annual tournament is dedicated to the founders of KAVC— the oldest club in the region.
The Kenyan teams are Nzoia, Kakamega Prisons, Mukumu, while National University Bujumbura are coming from Burundi.
Tournament sponsors are Icemark Africa, Dott Services, Excel Construction, Alpha Diary, Uganda Fish Packers, Global Innovations, Vambeco Enterprises, Drillcon Ltd, Pearl Engineers, Party Times and NCS.
