The Kampala Kids League (KKL) U-11 Totos team, still on top of the world after their win at the Tivoli Cup last week banged Germany’s Eintracht Bremen U-11 in the Gothia Cup on Monday.

In a game watched by two scouts for leading European clubs, the Ugandans put on an impressive display of football to destroy the Germans in sweltering heat.

Hat-tricks for captain Dorian Klonaridis, Farouk ‘Ndieffi’ Kalinzi and Majid ‘Owen’ Kawuma, plus braces from Yayo Lutimba and Juma Balinya and goals from Stefan Andersen and George Kijambu gave the U-11 side a comfortable start.

The KKL U-14 ‘Baby Cranes’ also made their debut at the main Heden field.

In a game watched by a big crowd, the Ugandans did not disappoint as they beat Savedalens of Sweden with goals from Paddy Tebusweke (2) and Daniel Mzee Sserunkuma.

The KKL camp has been followed by media persons seeking interviews. A morning newspaper ran a full page colour article featuring David Sukubira, calling the team favourites.

KKL has a mass following after their world beating performance last year.
Swedish foreign affairs minister Anna Lindh presided over the opening ceremony on Monday.

Uganda's entourage was given the honour to lead the parade and was introduced to a packed stadium by star striker Paddy Tebusweke.
