NAKASONGOLA — The Electoral Commission (EC) has set August 6 and 7 as nomination days for the Nakasongola Woman MP polls. The commission has also banned all fundraising activities in the district during the electoral process. The seat fell vacant after Grace Tusubira, a loser in the June 2001 polls successfully petitioned court.

GMOs meet
KAMPALA - Heads of Catholic universities across the world will today discuss Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) and man’s place in the face of changing technologies. The topic, to be moderated by Dr. Bertha Soledad from of Santiago Martinez Universidad iberamericana in Mexico, will delve into the scientific and ethical aspects of biotechnology in the fields of nutrition, health, agriculture and environment.
