SPENCON Services have agreed to a request by Wakiso district authorities to rehabilitate the dilapidated Kakiri-Masulita road, reports Frank Mugabi.
Spencon project manager, T.S. Babu said yesterday, “Already 3 kilometres of the total 11 kilometres have been up-graded.â€
He said it would cost them over sh6m to finish the work however the district has contributed sh1m towards fuel.
This follows a letter copied to the Vice President and area MP, Prof. Gilbert Bukenya. Wakiso LC5 chairman, Ian Kyeyune, explained that the road connects residents of Masulita to the main Hoima road. It is also the only access to the UWESO children’ home.
