‘COBRA,’ the man who recently confessed to have murdered and robbed many people of money and property, has been baptised ‘Paul’ after he quit Islam and joined the Anglican Church.

Canon Francis Mutatiina of All Saints Church baptised Muhammad Katamba alias “Cobra” during a fellowship on Friday at the Church in Mbarara town.

Mutatina led the special service for the baptism of Paul.

He said the boy was a “letter” to the Church.

“For the Biblical St. Paul writes that the ‘converts’ are ‘letters’ to the ‘unconverted’ people in the world,” he said.

The 27-year-old Katamba, who was dressed in a striped shirt and slippers, looked shy before the few parishioners who had gathered for the fellowship.

Katamba said, “I have worked in the underworld with pastors and some reverends, even some Roman Catholic priests.”

He said his gang leader initiated him into witchcraft at an age of 10.
