Two pupils recently died instantly and four others were seriously injured when a tree fell on them.

The incident took place in Kamuli village, kangulumira sub-county in kayunga district.

The LC3 chairman, Hajji Ahmed Lumissa, identified the deceased as Geoffrey Lugoloobi, 12 and Robert Segujja, 9, of Kamuli Uganda Moslem Education association School.

The headmaster, Hajji Abdallar Lusuku, said they died on arrival at kangulumira hospital, where the injured pupils were admitted.

Lumissa said he would recommend to schools in his area to cut all the trees near schools and plant them 100 metres away from school premises.
