The road to Munyonyo started in Lira more than four months ago, stopped in Mbale and then moved to Jinja. It then made its way to Mbarara, then to Fort Portal.
There is something about this town, one person too many have described Fort Portal as the most beautiful location in Uganda.
Miss Uganda proceeded to Kampala, where 22 girls were presented to a selected audience at Munyonyo. Sylvia Owori made one statement clear ‘that nobody could halt her juggernaut.’
First, she had managed to seal a new sponsorship deal from Club Pilsner in a few days after Bell Lager had pulled out and then managed to bring Hollywood to Munyonyo.
The girls who will strut tomorrow have been going through a four-week vigorous residential training at Speke Resort Munyonyo. They have done yoga lessons, and watched so many videos of Miss World, India and Universe.
The glamour on international TV is exactly what you will see tomorrow at Munyonyo. The only difference being a Ugandan audience.
