KOBIL has joined Katumwa Sports Centre in sponsoring the Bika football tournament, which kicks off September 20 at Nakivubo.
The fuel company will offer sh5m in terms of fuel and other prizes to go towards the participants in the event, whose draws will be carried out on August 28 at Nakivubo.
During a press meeting held yesterday at Nakivubo, it was announced that the organisers, Bika Football Association (BFA) had also put at stake 18 bicycles, which will go towards the players of the winning clan.
Mpologoma and Mmamba will be defending their football and netball trophies, which they got after beating Lugave in both finals.
The Kabaka of Buganda Ronald Muwenda Mutebi is expected to grace the opening ceremony of Buganda’s most successful sporting event at Nakivubo stadium
Meanwhile, BFA has dropped treasurer Abu Nsereko and replaced him with Yusuf Kamulegeya.
