CASH prizes worth sh3m are at stake in the Coppa Italia tennis tournament due September 12-20 at Kampala Club.
The event sponsored by the Italian commercial operators in Uganda will be held at Kampala Club.
The men’s singles winner will pocket sh0.6m while the women’s champion is assured of sh0.2m.
The top performers in the men’s doubles, women’s doubles, mixed doubles, the U-14 boy’s and U-14 girl’s events will also be rewarded.
Over 70 players are expected to enter the competition whose registration deadline is Wednesday.
Kampala Club tennis captain Pietro Averono, said invitations have also been sent to players in Kenya and Rwanda.
Jinja players are expected to dominate.
