JINJA — The Energo Project company has started rehabilitating roads in the municipality. Work on Engineer Zikusoka Way and Mpumudde Avenue in Mpumudde-Kimaka Division is underway, municipality officials said recently.

KABERAMAIDO — The district is to build pit latrines worth sh3.5m to avert a possible outbreak of cholera in Internally Displaced People’s camps at Otuboi trading centre and Anyara sub-county headquarters. The secretary for health, Charles Enepu, said the two areas have large numbers of IDPs from Soroti, Lira and Katakwi.

48 graduate
MBALE — The LC5 chairman, Elly Mujasi, has thanked Africa Evangelistic Enterprises for supporting the Government’s Universal Primary Education programme by absorbing UPE leavers. He was addressing 48 graduates at Bugema Rural Development Centre. Mbale Diocese owns the institute.
