MTN Uganda yesterday awarded some of its major distributors with certificates of recognition for excellency and exemplary performance.

Simba Telecom, Majestic Holdings, Kasese, Dembelyo Telecom Limited, Mukono and Shell Kireka, were recognised for contributing towards MTN’s success.

Patrick Bitature, Emmy Mbabazi, Matthias Musisi and Alfred Buggah received the awards for Simba Telecom, Majestic Holdings, Dembelyo and Shell Kireka respectively.

MTN’s CEO, Noel Meyer presented the awards to the agencies’ proprietors in Kampala.

“This is our way of thanking these people for the effort they have put in and for helping MTN to get to the top and remain there,” Meyers said.
The employees of the four agencies were rewarded with airtime.

The distributors said MTN had recognised their hard work. They said it was a good incentive.

Meanwhile, MTN will today unveil its state-of-the-art business solutions centre at MTN Towers, formerly the Uganda Development Bank Building on Hannington Road. MTN press coordinator, Tina Byaruhanga, said in an interview yesterday, the centre was a specialist unit aimed at catering for the delivery of fixed line services.

She said government officials, corporate and business leaders would attend the ceremony.
