Kinshasa - Vita Club of Kinshasa are leading the National Football League in the DR Congo following their 3-0 victory over St Luc of Kananga in the fourth round on Sunday. Vita Club now have a tally of nine points, followed by St Eloi Lupopo of Lubumbashi (7 pts), CS Cilu of Bas-Congo (4 pts), St Luc of Kananga (4 pts), Bukavu Dawa of Bukavu (3 points).

OVER 30 kids have registered for the new Kampala Kids League Totos season that will get underway later this month. The league sponsored by Shell and Pepsi attracts kids between the ages of five and six-years. It runs for four weeks at the Acorns school in Nakasero.

UGANDA clinched seven medals- one gold, three silver and three bronze- to steer the country to second position behind Kenya and ahead of Tanzania in the Korean Ambassador's Cup Tae Kwondo championships that ended in Nairobi on Saturday. Paul Mbogo won a gold for Uganda in the senior men heavyweight category and John Okello won silver in the same event.

UGANDA’S Rogers Kiwanuka was eliminated at the qualifying stages at the World Freestyle Wrestling championships in New York after losing both his bouts. The 96kg wrestler, at his first international event, lost to Namibian Nico Jacobs 19 -0 in the first bout.
