NEHAL Bibodi smashed 92 runs off 79 balls as season favourites Tornado crashed Nile CC by 247 runs in their last Castle Lager league tie at Kyambogo oval on Sunday.

Tornado finished all the nine scheduled matches unbeaten and enters the Super Six stage with enough points to lift the trophy of the second edition of Castle Lager sponsored league.

Bibodi, who was dropped at seven runs by wicket keeper Dan Ligyalingi, proved the hero — racing to 50 runs off 54 balls and blasting 14 boundaries before youngster Ronald Semanda dismissed him.

The ace shared a 124 run partnership for a fourth stand with Joel Olweny (39) as Tornado piled 243/4 in 40 overs.

Baig Akbar and Nand Kishore chipped in with a telling contribution notching an unbeaten 67 and 39 runs respectively as the side amassed 322/4 in 50 overs.

Man-of-match Akbar claimed three wickets for 14 runs. Charles Waiswa and Nandi Kishore picked two each to bundle out Nile at 75 all out with 16 overs at hand.
