A NEWS paper journalist was recently thrown out by the Kayunga district executive committee members for ‘exhibiting laziness’.
The scribe was accused of writing very few words and yet she had interviewed the district chairman for over an hour the previous day.
“Young girl, after speaking to you for over an hour you only managed to come up with 20 words in your story? This is laziness. Just get out of my way,†the bespectacled boss barked.
Attempts by the journalist to explain that she had no power over how much of the story would be used were futile.
This only made the chief more angry and cumbersome.
