UGANDA’s former Big Brother Africa (BBA) housemate Gaetano Jjuuko Kaggwa’s fortunes are just beginning to unfold.
A local company is about to clinch a lucrative advertising deal with him.
Gaetano was scheduled to travel to Gaborone, Botswana yesterday to attend a former housemate, Warona Masego’s welcome party.
From Botswana, Gae, as he is known by fans, proceeds to South Africa to explore more offers from other companies.
“There are no deals yet but a few South African companies have interest in him,†Richard Mwami, the marketing manager, MultiChoice Uganda, local representatives of MNet, said. MNet were the producers of the just concluded reality TV show.
At least four companies, including MTN Uganda, one of his sponsors, Nile Breweries, Commercial Market Strategies, promoters of Protector Condoms, and Uganda Breweries have interest in Gaetano.
MTN spokesperson Tina Byaruhanga said yesterday her company wishes to contract Gaetano after his return from the short holiday.
“We haven’t talked to him yet because he has been out of town. We will inform you as soon as we get somewhere,†she said.
Other local company officials would not say anything about their plans.
