JAMES Odongo ended over ten years of waiting for a major title by winning the Coppa Italia Tennis Open on Saturday.
The eighth seed outwitted the number three player Patrick Olobo 1-6, 6-2, 6-4 Kampala Club.
The men’s singles champion earned sh500,000 while Olobo got sh300,000 after the battle of baseliners.
Top seed Rosette Musoke picked sh200,000 for her 6-4, 7-5 success over seed two Janet Namutebi in the women’s singles final. Namutebi got sh100,000.
