THE Parliamentary Advocacy Forum (PAFO) launched early this year has emerged as the pressure group for MPs opposed to the lifting of the presidential two-term limit often referred to as the third term.

“Ours is not a malwa group as some people have insinuated in the media. we have not formed a new political party but just had an executive committee elected to tackle burning national issues. From now on, refer to our lobby caucus as PAFO,’’ Augustine Ruzindana (Ruhama), the new PAFO chairman, said on Friday.

PAFO officials Patrick Musisi, Salaamu Musumba, Kassiano Wadri, Dr. Steven Chebrot, Ben Wacha, Abdu Katuntu, Henry Banyenzaki, Reagan Okumu and Issa Kikungwe attended.

PAFO was originally formed as a parliamentary lobby group in March during a meeting attended by over 40 Movement and multiparty MPs.

At its inception, Emmanuel Dombo was interim chairman, Patrick Musisi the vice-chairman and Adolf Mwesige as secretary. Mwesigye was later appointed a minister of state.
