Kadaga hails Kulika Trust
KAMPALA — Deputy Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga has hailed Kulika Charitable Trust for improving Uganda’s manpower standards, saying it is vital for development. She was yesterday meeting directors of the trust from Britain at parliament. The delegation was led by Kinkizi East MP Mbabazi Kabushenga.

‘Kill K’jong assailants’
KATAKWI — Army Chief of Staff Brig. Nakibus Lakara has told the Iteso to kill Karimojong criminals who cross into Teso to commit atrocities. Lakara said this recently at the burial of 21 people massacred by Karimojong warriors in Ngariam internally displaced camp. He said the UPDF would take action against the culprits.

Attacks vex Lokeris
KAMPALA — State minister for Karamoja affairs Peter Lokeris and MPs from the region have condemned the continued raiding and killing of the Iteso by the Karimojong warriors. A statement from the Office of the Prime Minister said political leaders condemned the atrocities, especially during this period when the Iteso are being traumatised by rebel attacks.

Mengo man lauds government
KAMPALA — Former Mengo health minister Robert Ssebunya yesterday hailed President Yoweri Museveni for successfully tabling the federal system issue to the Cabinet. He said he was happy that Museveni had convinced the Cabinet to accept the federo issue.
