MOSES Kimbowa, will lead Uganda's team to the 73rd men and 16th women world weightlifting championship due in Vancouver, Canada November 10-23. The meet is also a qualifier to the 2004 Summer Olympic Games set for Athens, Greece. Irene Ajambo is also on team.

BOXING: Seven rated
SEVEN Ugandan professional pugilists have been rated in the new rankings by the Commonwealth Boxing Council (CBC) that released its ratings recently. The Commonwealth Boxing Council (CBC), that is led by African Boxing Union (ABU) secretary general Celestino Mindra, drew their ratings last month at their general meeting in Cardiff, Wales.

KCC FC will today hold its annual end of season party starting 5.00pm at City hall, where the newly recruited players will be officially unveiled to the club. The old playing staff will also be accorded for their exemplary commitment through out the past season. Former Local Government minister Bidandi Ssali, also life time patron of the club, will be the chief guest.

BOXING: Kayongo set
US-based Ugandan professional boxer Mohamed Kayongo looks forward to better his record when he takes on Norge Mark in Minnesota today. A win will boost Kayongo's unbeaten record to seven and subsequently move him to eight round contests. But Norge 21-3-0 (13Kos) stands in the way for the Ugandan in the under-card of the Junior middleweight state title between Matt Vande and Bouderaux. "I am gonna knock him out," Kayongo promised.
