FUFA has warned Top TV officials over the court injunction that the club secured to stop preparations for next season’s soccer league until their case is heard before Justice Okumu Wengi October 31.

Christian Life Ministries Limited, the owners of Top TV through their lawyers David Ssempala got an interim order that stopped FUFA from fixing next season’s football league. The order was made by High Court Judge G. Namundi in Kampala.

“Top TV has not followed the right procedures,” FUFA secretary Haruna Mawanda told the weekly Nile Special Super League press conference at Lugogo yesterday.

He said that their action was not done for the good of football since they clearly know the possible outcome.

“They would not have gone to court on the first place. We are not happy with this. We have spoken to their chairman. We have demanded for a meeting with their directors to educate them so that they get to know the consequences but the people around them have made it impossible,” continued Mawanda.

“The end result will be that Uganda will be banned (from football activity).

“We (Uganda) gain more from FIFA than they do from us and we will be the biggest losers if we are banned,” Mawanda stressed.
