ZZIMWE Construction has won another deal to up-grade two city roads from gravel to tarmac.
The sh330m contract was awarded by the Contracts Committee, Ministry of Local Government.
Recently the Inspector General of Government expressed concern at the quality of Zzimwe’ road works.
Zzimwe, owned by prominent businessman Andrew Kasagga (right) is to work on Mpabaana and Old Kampala roads in Kampala Central Division. He denies claims that their work is sub-standard.
The roads were recommended for an up-grade under the Kampala Urban Traffic Improvement Plan to ease traffic congestion.
The project coordinator, David Kiggundu said, they are waiting for Zzimwe to submit his performance security before the work can start.
