THE Minister of State for disaster preparedness, Christine Amongin Aporu, has appealed to parents to ensure that all internally displaced children sit the forthcoming Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE).

She was speaking at a confirmation ceremony of 200 Christians at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Kumi recently.

Aporu said 150 displaced children camped at Madera Minor Seminary in Soroti were due to sit for PLE.

Most of them are from Obalanga and Orungo in Amuria county, Katakwi district.

Aporu commended the Church for praying for peace in Teso.

Bishop Erasmus Wandera said they would continue praying for peace and security in the region.
