KAKIRA moved into pole position to retain the Inter-district boxing championship after the semi-finals at Lugogo yesterday.
The Jinja-based outfit moved a point clear (8 points) of main challengers Rubaga South.
Kampala Central and Makindye also remained in contention with six points each. Wakiso and Kawempe have four points each.
The three-day championship concludes today after the Uganda Amateur Boxing Federation (UABF) general assembly.
