THE Mbarara High Court judge, Justice Paul Mugamba, has appealed to Parliament to amend the law to allow magistrates handle defilement cases. He told legal officers and Police last week that this would ensure prompt judgements and ease congestion in the High Court.

MORE than 110 people were arrested at the weekend in Kyotera town for being idle and disorderly.
Among them were 20 women and 10 Tanzanian citizens, Rakai Police boss Patrick Ntoore said.
