AKRIGHT Housing Estates has signed an agreement with Hexaport International Ltd, a US based firm, to get funds for estate development, reports Ricks Kayizzi.
Anatoli Kamugisha, Akright’s managing director, said they signed the agreement last month at the Hexaport headquarters in New York.
Kamugisha said the 7-year deal, will see Hexaport providing up to $9m (about sh18b) worth of building equipment and services.
“We aim at availing housing development finance on flexible and cheaper terms to our clients,” he said.
Akright plans to construct 2,000 houses in the next five years.
Akright is involved construction of estate houses and sale of serviced plots.
Kamugisha said that the funds would enable the company deliver supplies to their estates faster.
