A total of 52 candidates of Kabojja Parents School in Wakiso District will have to repeat primary seven next year after their headmaster disappeared with the Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) fees.

While the rest of the Universal Primary Education (UPE) candidates were sitting for their exams yesterday, the pupils of Kabojja in Kabojja B village spent the day standing in the school compound pondering the next move.

Parents who thronged the school premises at around 9:30pm shed tears upon realising that Selestin Kasangwa had not registered their children with the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB).

Kasangwa, who has been headteacher of the school for three years, is on the run.

Each pupil had paid sh35,000 as registration fees. Instead of sitting in classrooms to write the English and Social Studies exams, the pupils clad in white and blue uniforms packed their suitcases to head home.

LCs called in the Police to protect the school.
