According to the acting district Police commander, Daniel Okumu, there should be no movement of people beyond 10.00 p.m. “Whoever will be netted beyond this time will be arrested under the bylaw set up by the committee,” Okumu said.

100 arrested
KAMPALA — Over 100 suspected idlers, among them 23 sex workers, were rounded up in a massive Police swoop in the city on Tuesday. Amos Gumisiriza, the officer in charge Central Police Station, said the swoop was aimed at ridding the city of petty criminals and warned that Police was stepping up operations as the christmas season draws nearer. He said thugs were targeting this season “and we are going to be more vigilant now that the festive season has started.”
