FORMER Kenyan captain Tom Tikolo arrives in the country today to start his contract with the Uganda Cricket Association (UCA). The Kenya-based Tikolo will start his work as national development manager and head-coach for the national teams including the U-19 squad currently preparing for the 2004 World Cup slated for Bangladesh in February.

WINNERS at the ninth National Inter-University Games are for first time not sure what they will compete for. The games start at Namboole, 10:00am today. National University Sports Federation of Uganda announced yesterday that there was likely to be no trophies.

KAMPALA central LC III chairman Charles Sserunjogi has donated balls worth sh0.75m to facilitate the forthcoming Allstars football Academy clinic due to for Kintate primary school. He made the offer while launching the clinic, for the 7-15 years, whose registration starts this weekend. He called upon parents and wellwishers to develop football in the country.
