EIGHTEEN youngsters entered a residential training camp ahead of the 2004 U-19 cricket World Cup championship slated for February in Bangladesh.

Uganda will take part in the fifth edition of the event organised by the International Cricket Council (ICC) after qualifying in Namibia last October.

The squad residing at the National Council of Sports Lugogo hostels is handled by newly appointed head coach Tom Tikolo assisted by Andrew Meya, William Kamanyi and Aloysius Nainhabo among others.

Uganda will play against South Africa, England and Nepal in the qualifying rounds of the tournament that starts February 15.
