THE heat is on today for the 2003 inter-university games overall champion at the Mandela National stadium.
Nkumba, Kampala International University and Ndejje Universities are so far the closest contenders for the title after storming the final stages in various games and races yesterday.
Makerere University who are the current championship holders will be dethroned in absentia by any of the three universities after they were barred from the games for failure to clear their outstanding arrears.
Nkumba stormed the basketball finals with a 78-61 defeat of Kyambogo in an intense game.
