Kampala International University and their neighbours Kampala University have been disqualified from the netball games. Other Universities citing the fielding of illegal players petitioned against both Universities that had reached the finals stage. KIU was disqualified for the use of national team players Betty Namukasa and Barbara Namukaaya.

SOCCER

A REFEREES’ course for beginners that has been running at Nakivubo stadium since Monday ends with oral, written and cooper tests at Makerere University today. The course organised by Kampala Central Division under the guidance of Confederation of African Football (CAF) referees’ instructor Rajab Kisekka attracted 20 participants who will be awarded certificates.
