KABALE — The National Drug Authority (NDA) is planning to crack down on herbalists or traditional healers who call themselves doctors and advertise themselves that they cure all sorts of diseases. “This practice of advertising yourself saying you are a doctor is very bad and must stop,” “Julius Babiiha the NDA information officer said recently. Babiiha was addressing Kabale journalists during a media workshop organised by the NDA at Rukiiko Hall. He advised media houses to always scrutinise advertisements before placing them.

Health adopts new system
KAMPALA — The commissioner of clinical services in the Ministry of Health, Dr. Jacinta Amadua has said the ministry has introduced a new system for procuring core medical supplies. The system called ‘creditline’ enables all health units throughout the country to procure the core items like drugs for malaria, cough, family planning items and other basic supplies.
