SC VILLA coach Micho Sredejovic is sure he has all the qualities in his side to wrest for the African Champions league ‘money brackets’ that has eluded the club for a couple of decades.

The signings of potential stars Nathan Mutenza from arch rivals KCC, Simeon Masaba from Police and a couple of youthful players into the club have Villa Park buzzing again.

“It is going to be a special season for us and we will have four aims.

We intend to win both the league and Kakungulu cups, defend the CECAFA cup and above all get into the money brackets,” said Micho.

With a youthful bedrock of his defence still largely intact behind the hard running of Dan Obote, Morley Byekwaso and Alex Isabirye poised to unfurl the full majesty of a potentially special partnership with Joseph Kabagambe it looks like Micho has only to press the button and send his cosmopolitan players into a new glory quest.

But for the shrewd brain from Serbia and Montenegro, who won a double in his first full campaign before surrendering the Kakungulu cup to Express last season only on what he considers was a twist of fate, there is much more to it than that.

For a start he insists his beautifully balanced squad cannot afford even the slightest measure of complacency.

Micho is placing great store in the talented new Kenyan recruit Abby Santos who has though still failed to stamp his class.

“He has wonderful skill and although he may look a little too laid back I can assure you that inside he has fantastic determination a real winner type ,” he added.
