THE Uganda Badminton Association (UBA) has unveiled a sh86.5m budget for the 2009 calendar. The figure only caters for local events on the calendar and will obviously shoot up with the inclusion of international tournaments.

THE Uganda Badminton Association (UBA) has unveiled a sh86.5m budget for the 2009 calendar. The figure only caters for local events on the calendar and will obviously shoot up with the inclusion of international tournaments.
“We have not included the international tournaments because we are not sure of which we will take part inâ€, Simon Mugabi, UBA tournament director said.
Mugabi said the association has lined up 15 events this year.
According to the schedule the season starts with the national trials between January 23-25 at Lugogo. On February 20-22 the Roofings Uganda International tournament will be held with a host of professional players participating in this world ranking tournament.
