In fact, such is their love for him that at least 100 Karimojong recently graced a ceremony initiating him into the Karimojong tribe at Mt. Moroto Hotel. Nasasira was ending his five-day visit to assess the status of roads in the region.
Lobur Nyangabong, an elder of the Tepeth community, named the minister “Lokutâ€(blowing wind). As a welcome gesture, his new tribesmen offered him a walking stick, honey, gichola (elder’s stool), a bracelet and a wrapper.
He also got a goat that Lobur said will contribute to dowry when his son gets married. The minister thanked the elders for the honour bestowed upon him.
