A 27-year-old suspected robber stunned Police when he confessed and asked Kampala Police Chief Edward Ochom to get him a job.

The job of an informer, which James Lubega alias Kyanda wants, would enable him live a life of crime.

Kyanda made the request at a press conference where Ochom recognised him as a man who has been in and out of prison for various offences.

He had been paraded before journalists with Julius Wasajja and Benedicto Kiwanuka on charges of aggravated robbery.

The trio are accused of waylaying boda-boda riders in city suburbs and robbing them.

Police spokesperson Judith Nabakooba said they, on December 26 last year, attacked Mwanje Ssegirinnya as he rode through Queens Way opposite Shoprite supermarket.
