The New Vision has today started publishing stories from across the country of ordinary Ugandans who are generating wealth from farming.

Agriculture plays a leading role in the country’s economy. More than 78% of Ugandans are farmers, while over 40% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is from the sector.

The wealth creation series, Harvest Money, are intended to inspire the readers and the public to practice profitable farming.

The stories will profile model farmers and offer best agricultural practices.
They will also provide information on the Government zoning system, under which areas of the country are supposed to grow specific types of crops.
