LUCKY Rupiny readers will for the next four weeks win prizes, including Waragi bicycles that were introduced by Lira MP, Jimmy Akena.

According to the circulation manager of The New Vision, Gershom Agaba, the promotion coincides with the 15th anniversary of the newspaper. The promotion was launched in Lira on Wednesday and in Gulu on Thursday.

The newspaper carries a coupon which should be filled and sent to the head office. Draws will be conducted every monday to establish winners.

“We want to thank our readers. The promotion is at a time when children are going back to school. Readers can win money and top-up on the school fees of their children,” Agaba said.

Residents were excited as officials comprising of Kenneth Oluka, the assistant news editor, Rogers Opigo, the field sales manager and the news editor of Rupiny, Nancy Obita marched and sold the paper on the streets.

“In Lira about 1,000 coupons were returned and about 800 coupons in Gulu. Almost all the copies of Rupiny were sold, indicating that readers are excited about the promotion,” Agaba noted.

He said there are four Waragi bicycles, eight ordinary bicycles, 32 lanterns, cash and T-shirts to be won.
