200 artistes for Bukedde extravaganza

OVER 200 musicians are scheduled to perform at a musical extravaganza organised by Bukedde FM, a local radio station owned by the Vision Group.

OVER 200 musicians are scheduled to perform at a musical extravaganza organised by Bukedde FM, a local radio station owned by the Vision Group.

The trans-night show is dubbed Embuutu y’embuutikizi and will be held at Nakivubo Stadium on March 1.

Speaking at a joint press conference with some of the key artistes over the weekend, the show’s publicist, Denis Katongole also know as Katongole Omutongole, said preparations were on course.

“We have contacted all musicians across the country and they have accepted to perform. The show is intended to reward listeners who have cherished the radio since its inception,” Katongole said. Ten popular musicians including Jose Chameleone pledged to put up a thrilling performance during the show.

“Bukedde FM has supported us. It has played our music and promoted all artists without bias. We have decided to give back by entertaining the listeners,” said Chameleone.

Others who promised to perform include Sophie Nantongo, Bebe Cool, Orlando, Matthias Walukagga, Sarah Short, Mega Dee and David Lutalo. Entrance fee is sh5000.
