EDITOR—I am responding to Edward Kamanzi’s letter titled: “Eng. John Nasasira Oyee” that appeared in The New Vision of February 23. I find it ridiculous for Kamanzi to think that Ugandans in the diaspora do not have a clear picture of what is transpiring in their country.

First, why question Asiimwe Ntegye’s dissatisfaction on why Nasasira was retained in Cabinet yet he is in Oslo–Norway? That is his opinion as a citizen of this country. Secondly, why compare Asiimwe Ntegye’s contribution to Uganda with that of a minister?

Kamanzi forgets that Nasasira is vested with public funds that he (Ntegye) is a beneficiary. If poorly handled, citizens should demand proper accountability of the same. Please learn how to appreciate positive criticism.
