“It was the surprise of the tournament,†said coordinator Charles Letti. All semi-finalists qualified for the regional super mini league.
The Zone 13 semifinals are due today.
* With just one game played in the Zone 2 mini-league, Kapchorwa Town Council FC has pulled out citing financial difficulties.
It was a blessing in disguise for former premier league side CRO FC who automatically earned a slot in the quarter-finals at Mbale Municipal Stadium.
* NDEJJE University FC were crowned Luwero district Division One champions after gunning down UPDF 2-1 over the weekend.
The victory came thanks to goals from Jason Muhindo and Richard Semwanga. Sam Mugaya scored the consolation goal for UPDF.
