Clubs prepare for assembly
- Eleven Boxing Clubs have handed in their paperwork ahead of the Uganda Amateur Boxing Federation (UABF) extra-ordinary assembly due March 14 at Lugogo. The deadline for handing over the paperwork is Saturday. But the normalization committee secretary Yusuf Mukoka, said some clubs had asked for an extension. "Only 11 clubs have given us the documents,” Mukoka said.

KAVC, KCC tie
- KAVC and KCC volleyball clubs will renew their rivalry as the season rolls off with the Kyambogo Open at the university grounds tomorrow. The two day event has already attracted over 50 teams including 11 leading clubs. Tournament organiser Jeff Lwalanda said that the tournament will have teams from various institutions, schools and the corporate world. "We want to bring corporate bodies closer (to volleyball) because they help sponsor sports," Lwalanda said at a press conference yesterday.

Bugiri sports bonanza to start
- This year's Bugiri District schools post primary football, netball and volleyball tournaments will be held March 9-16. The events will draw teams from the northern and southern zones of the district. About 20 schools have registered for football and netball events while 15 are to battle for the volleyball crown.Officials yesterday appealed to the teams to register in time.
