There is a very high risk of a fire outbreak. The entire district has no fire-fighting equipment! Fear and tension gripped the populace on March 7 when a tanker heading for Kampala burst into flames. While some people were fleeing for dear life, others were running with jerricans to collect fuel!

This is the third time such a thing has happened and the Police fire brigade from Tororo normally arrive an hour later after the residents have put out the fire! If one tanker can kill over 100 people as happened recently in Kenya, what about 100 tankers?
